We host experts across the aging field to bring knowledge and awareness to topics ranging from Housing Options to Medicare and Medicaid to Alzheimer’s resources. Our speaker will define family caregiving in the United States and provide data that may surprise you. We’ll explore the ups (yes, they do exist!) and downs of caregiving, and explore individual actions along with community-based services for caregivers across the country.

Dr. Elise Eifert is an Associate Professor and the graduate coordinator for the Gerontology program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG). She earned her Ph.D. in Public Health Education and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Gerontology from UNCG in 2014. She has her MS in Health Promotion from Indiana University at Bloomington.

Dr. Eifert is a gerontology and health promotion scholar with over 20 years of experience working and conducting research with family caregivers.
